Communicator Service Project: Armed and Dangerous

Armed? With shovels and a will to do good. Dangerous? Only to erosion and poor grammar.

Today a large group of communicators from across the Sea Grant network headed to City Park, a 1500-acre urban oasis in the midst of New Orleans. The overriding goal was to plant a native wetland grass to help with erosion control within one freshwater area.

Here’s a teaser…

Communicators gather near the grass they're about to plant.

I’ll fill in more details when time permits. For more pictures, check out this album (courtesy of Virginia Sea Grant).
